This Privacy Policy describes how Made by K·A·I (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit madebykai.ca (the “Site”). We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable privacy laws.
By using this Site, you consent to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you place an order or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and the contents of your order. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are not stored on our servers.
Information collected automatically. Through cookies and analytics we may collect your IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process orders and payments;
- Fulfill and ship products (including via third-party print providers);
- Deliver digital goods and send order confirmations and receipts;
- Respond to your questions;
- Understand and improve the Site;
- Send marketing emails only if you opt in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
3. Service Providers We Share With
We do not sell your personal information. We share only what’s necessary with the providers that run the store:
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Printify and its print providers — production and shipping of physical items;
- Resend — order and receipt emails;
- PostHog — privacy-conscious product analytics;
- Supabase and Vercel — hosting and data storage.
Each provider is permitted to use your information only to provide its service to us. We may also disclose information where required by law.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law (for example, tax and order records).
5. International Processing
Some of our providers process data outside Canada (including in the United States and the EU). Where that happens, your information is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, and we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected.
